Domain Hosting Terms and Conditions

  1. Renewals
    1.1. All domains are renewed on an annual basis. We will send out reminder emails 30 days, 14 days, 7 days and 1 day before expiry.
    1.2. Reminder emails will be sent to the email address on the account. It is the registrant’s responsibility to ensure their contact details are correct. Surrey Business IT take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect. 
    1.3. If you do not wish to renew a domain please contact us by email (domains@itinsurrey.co.uk) a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires.
    1.4. If you do not renew your domain before its expiry date and you do not contact us stating that you do not wish to renew a domain, all IT services provided by Surrey Business IT will be suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after the renewal date to renew the domain name at the original renewal fee. 
    1.5. After 30 days your domain will be suspended and enter a 60 day grace period in which you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee of up to £160 + VAT. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired. After 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar. Surrey Business IT cannot guarantee the renewal of a domain name.

  3. Complaints
    3.1. Surrey Business IT welcomes feedback from our clients. If you wish to make a complaint about a service you have received, please submit an email to: complaints@itinsurrey.co.uk. Please provide as much detail as possible regarding the issue you have. We will acknowledge your email within 1 business day and aim to resolve any issues within 5 business days.
    3.2. We aim to resolve all client issues but, if you are not content with the initial outcome of your complaint, please contact Nominet (the .uk registry) here: http://www.nominet.org.uk/disputes/complaining-about-registrar/complaints-procedure

  4. Abuse
    4.1. If you wish to raise a complaint about abuse you have received (phishing scams, spam emails etc), please contact us: complaints@itinsurrey.co.uk. Please provide as much detail as possible regarding the issue you have. We will investigate your complaint immediately.
